The Ten Band: A Tribute to Pearl Jam (2003–Today)
Our Story
We formed The Ten Band in 2003 with one clear goal: to faithfully recreate the sound, spirit, and raw intensity of a live Pearl Jam show. From the start—whether you knew us as The Ten Band or Ten, A Tribute to Pearl Jam—we set out to honor one of the most influential rock bands of our time. With an unwavering passion for Pearl Jam and a high-energy, note-perfect approach to every performance, we’ve spent over two decades keeping their music alive for fans across the country.
The Beginning (2003–2010)
When we got started in 2003, it was all about heart. Taking our name from Pearl Jam’s debut album Ten, we hit small clubs and music halls throughout the Northeast, pouring everything we had into recreating that signature sound and emotion. Those early shows were electric—not because of the size of the rooms, but because of the connection we felt with the Pearl Jam Community.
We built our setlists to celebrate the full depth of Pearl Jam’s catalog—from the anthems like “Alive” and “Even Flow” to the deep cuts that only true fans shout for. Word spread fast among the “Faithfull,” and before we knew it, we were becoming more than a band—we were part of a growing community.
Recognition and Growth (2010–2015)
As our reputation grew, so did the size of the stages. By the early 2010s, we were performing at major festivals, theaters, and outdoor concert series all across the country. Those years were a turning point, and a lot of that momentum came from the energy and talent of our original frontman, Nick Rhodes, whose voice and stage presence truly embodies Eddie Vedder and our bands energetic stage show… and of course…. The unmatched crowd participation. Every night has become a chorus of hundreds or thousands giving back to us everything that we put out to them !
One of the biggest milestones came in 2014, when we were invited to perform live on AXS TV’s World’s Greatest Tribute Bands. That national spotlight helped put us on the map in a new way—our performance reached thousands of fans watching live, and introduced us to audiences across the country who hadn’t seen us yet.
We also adjusted the band name in 2014 to “The Ten Band” as there were lots of local tribs around the country coining the use of “TEN” in one shape or form so we figured we’d try to help The Faithfull who had been with us for over 10 years at that point avoid any confusion…. but make no mistake, we are indeed the original “Ten – A Tribute to Pearl Jam” that you may have rocked out with all of those years ago !
Expanding The Community (2016–2020)
After our TV debut, we took the show on the road like never before. We played legendary venues like House of Blues Nationwide, Bogarts, Ram’s Head Live, Hard Rock Cafés, outdoor ampitheaters, and historic theaters from coast to coast. Our performances became immersive experiences—full-album nights, classic setlists, and even shows built around fan requests.
But it has never been just about the music. We have also felt a responsibility to carry on Pearl Jam’s spirit of activism. We have supported a range of causes—veterans’ charities, disaster relief, local fundraisers—because it matters to us, and it matters to the people who come to our shows.
Resilience and Revival (2021–2025)
The pandemic hit live music hard, and we were no exception. But instead of slowing down, we took that time to regroup, retool, and refocus. When we returned to the stage in 2022, it was with a renewed sense of purpose. We brought in fresh energy, and a new multimedia experience that has added depth and excitement to the live show.
As of 2025, we’ve performed hundreds of shows in over 30 states. We’ve watched generations of fans come together—some who grew up with Pearl Jam, and others discovering their music for the first time through us. Staying true to the core of Pearl Jam’s sound while adapting to changing times has helped us remain relevant, exciting, and deeply connected to “The Faithfull”.
Why We Do This
For over 20 years, we’ve had the privilege of bringing Pearl Jam’s music to life for audiences across the country. We’ve introduced their songs to new listeners, kept them alive for lifelong fans, and created unforgettable moments for all of us in venues nationwide, night after night.
Our story isn’t just about paying tribute—it’s about honoring a legacy with heart, reverence, and a deep connection to community. If you’ve never seen Pearl Jam live—or even if you have 100 shows under your belt—we strive to give you the next best thing: a powerful, soul-stirring experience that captures the essence of one of the greatest rock bands of all time.
There are no rock stars in The Ten Band, we are just “Faithfull” members of an amazing community that we have all built together.
Come on out and join us some time soon !
